Tips for Photos of your Airbnb Rental
Having good photos can make all the difference in your occupancy rate and nightly price. The most important is your main photo since it's what shows in search results and will grab (or not grab) your potential guests' attention. Choose a photo that is bright, shows the best features, and displays your sense of style.
The photos themselves should be taken with a professional camera with a tripod if possible. If using a camera phone, make sure you have it set up to use the highest resolution and rest it on a stable surface when taking the picture. Stage the photo with cords out of sight, papers or personal items tucked away, and choose the best time of day for the room.
After uploading, be sure to add descriptions to each photo saying which room it is and highlighting some features or amenities associated with that room. Some guests look primarily at photos and may not read the full written description, so this is a great chance to let them know what you are offering.
Lastly, be sure to put them in an order that makes sense. It should feel like they're taking a tour of the house. Make sure the pictures don't jump back-and-forth between areas or it can be confusing. Sometimes another great tool is to add a floorplan or layout picture so guests understand the space better.
